Matt Simpson
Associate Pastor of Students
Matt has been a part of the FBCLW family since June 2006, serving students from middle school through college age. A Polk County native, he and his wife Jennifer were both raised here, attended Polk County schools and Polk State College, and have built their lives and ministry in this community they love.
In addition to his role at FBCLW, Matt serves as an adjunct professor at Warner University and Polk State College, teaching courses in Christian Faith and Life and World Religions. He brings that same passion for learning and discipleship into everything he does with students here at First Baptist.
Matt and Jennifer have two daughters and are deeply invested in the schools, community organizations, and college campuses of Lake Wales and the surrounding area. When he's not pouring into students, you'll probably find him cooking, talking theology, or grabbing lunch outside at The Market Cafe.
