The men are an active group, seeking to serve God in their heart, in their church, in their community, and in the world. Several small groups meet weekly for Bible Study, prayer, and personal encouragement. Annual events include a spring skeet shoot and a fall retreat in GA.
In our community, the men serve in leadership roles, volunteer, and advance God's work through integrity. Mission groups have traveled throughout the world, furthering God's Kingdom by aiding in construction of churches, assisting in recovery from natural disasters, and assembling with others in evangelism efforts.
Like the men, our women are an active group, seeking to serve God in their hearts, in their churches, in their communities, and in the world. Several small groups and classes meet weekly for Bible Study, prayer, and personal encouragement.
In our community, the women serve in leadership roles, volunteer, and advance God's work through service. Our women are currently serving through the Lake Wales Charter Schools, the Porch Light Ministry, Guatemala, and the many ministries of FBC.
Our college ministry is a vibrant place for college students. We reach out to Warner, Webber, and Polk State College collegians with the love of Jesus (You can link all three of those college's websites). A college life connection group meets on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. Also, there's InRoads (worship for college students) that meets on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m.
Our life connection groups are very important in the life of our church. There are groups for many life stages of our adults from college, young professionals, women, young couples, and retired couples. Sunday mornings begin at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and coffee at daybreak. Then each group begins at 9:15 a.m.
